First Aid at Work

Spread over 3 days (18 hours) this First Aid at Work (RQF) is particularly suitable for those whose risk assessment deems further first aid provisions should be in place.​ It is the highest level of first aid qualification for employees and the public. You will learn how to deal with emergencies and medical conditions.

Price Includes

18 hour contact time, learner groups no bigger than 12 per course, an annual refresher (to be taken mid-way through certification), book and learner materials.

  • Adult resuscitation (CPR)

  • Allergic reaction

  • Asthma

  • Bone, muscle and joint injuries

  • Burns and scalds

  • Chest pains

  • Choking adult

  • Communication and casualty care

  • Eye injuries

  • Fainting

  • Head injuries

  • Defibrillator prompts and how to respond

  • Defibrillator pad placement

  • Low blood sugar

  • Managing an emergency

  • Minor and severe bleeding

  • Poisons

  • Role of the first aider (including knowledge of health and safety regulations)

  • Seizures

  • Shock

  • Spinal injuries

  • Stroke

  • Unresponsive adult

Certificate

On successful completion of the Combined Paediatric & First Aid at Work course, delegates will be awarded with a certificate. The certificate is valid for 3 years.
